FBQ Fossil Preparation Pen. Square non rotating stylus. 4mm chisel. Larger chisel stylus fitted pens need considerably more mounting support than smaller stylus points. The FBQ is produced with a square bearing nose and square stylus to avoid the stylus twisting in use when flat landscaping on laminated shales or extensive bulk matrix removal. Large chisel styluses need more power too so the FBQ is "bulked out" to give more power and stand up to the extra stresses of using a large chisel stylus, while still being light and managable enough in one hand and retaining that high level of finesse and flexibility required for fossil preparation. Has a similar level of noise, vibration and air consumption as the TT. 60 psi 4 bar operating pressure. Popular with users who have a lot of tedious repetitive "spade work" to do or large areas of flat laminated shale slabs. |
